Maxime Lepage “Squatzilla” BLOG

I lifted a weight for the first time in 2000, weighing a mere 113 lbs, and fell in love with the cold iron warming in my hand.

Devoting entirely myself to this passion, I trained like there was no tomorrow, and dived head first into exercise science and nutritional studies to become a skilled fitness consultant as well as a successful fitness entrepreneur.

My posing skills as well as my radically intense leg trainings and ability to squat nearly 3 times my bodyweight (Full Squat PR surpassing 550 lbs) gave me a regional fame and earned me the nickname of SQUATZILLA.

For more than 10 years, I also coached athletes of all levels, from beginners to national level competitors in Bodybuilding, Mens Physique, Women Figure and Fitness Bikini and, in 2009, introduced Caveman Training (AKA Cross Fit) in Canada.

At the same time, I operated 3 gyms as well as 2 supplement stores.

Throughout my bodybuilding career, I have been inspired by The Great Austrian Oak "Arnold Schwarzenegger" for his accomplishments and contribution to the sport, by Lee Priest for its outspoken personality, by Tom Platz for his training intensity and lately by Rich Piana for his no-bull speeches and work ethic.

Considering myself a perfectionist and artist more than anything else, my passion expanded to other Human body arts such as tattoo and piercing, which I also have been practicing for more than 10 years.

Everyone knows the critical importance of nutrition for sports performance. Also, countless studies have demonstrated the potential benefits of proper supplementation.

There are thousands of dietary supplement companies providing the same thing proper nutrition can offer – macronutrients. Unfortunately, there are much fewer companies delivering formulations based on proven medicinal ingredients (compounds with a targ eted physiological effect).
